Bright Roses!

Hello friends!
If you don't know yet,  this new Build-a Flower Rose set...
 is rocking the stamping world!

(shop Altenew here , shop Simon Says Stamp here)

I urge you to get it asap because they will be selling out soon.
Hope you got sun glasses ready because you are about to see BRIGHT and GLITZY roses.

you are amazing-001

I was too lazy to do masking, but I do enjoy stamping these roses. There are three smaller stamps just to layer the rose bud.  The process is very straightforward.

So, that was what I did. Just stamping.
Noticed the sentiment? Yeah, it's a goodie!

you are amazing-002

The 6-layer rose stamping is systematic and as you give a try or two, you will be HOOKED!
(remember that I told you so!). Even if you just stamp two layers, the rose will look GREAT already!

I don't rely on any special formula for color-layering!
Getting Altenew's Ink really helps to make the color decisions.

Fall Means....Fallen Leaves!

Hello friends.
It's that time of the year...Fall.
I am blessed to live in a tree lot. However, our neighbor has two huge mature trees right at the border of the two houses. So when leaves fall, the leaf situation can get a little out of hand. 😐
I love everything about Fall... just not the leaf-raking part.
This stamp called Poetic is finally back in stock!
It is enough to cover the entire card front and has etched and detailed grooves.

Let's look at a leaf card now.

I love adding textures to my designs. It seems fitting to use Dreamweaver Wendi Vecchi Gold Embossing Paste along with TH WoodGrain Stencil.

I love how the leaf itself turned out. I did some inking with Distress Oxide. Each time I stamped, I misted the stamp with a spritz of water.

thank you for being a great friend

I also stamped the background with Script. It's such a great stamp for background and adding details.
Of course, all this was stamped with the help of MISTI

Last but certainly not the least....
All the products used are highlighted in my affiliate links.

You can find the latest Penny Black stamps here.

I will be featuring Snowy Perch and Berry Speckled very soon.
Perhaps you will get them and we can stamp together?

Thank you for being my loyal stamping friends and followers.

Use Bold Alphebet Dies with ROSE Stamps (Altenew Post)

Hello friends!
Hope you are having a great day so far...
Today's my turn to share a project with you over Altenew Blog.
I really want to utilize the this Bold Alphabet Set.

Previously, I made celebratory banners with this great die set (see here) for my daughter's successful defense of her PhD thesis!

This time I want to do something a little different.

and you put them together....

I love creating fun and personalized sentiment. I though it would be cool to use the letter "U" and "R" and combine them with "simply amazing " from "More than Words"(shop Altenew, shop SSS).

So, how do you do this if you are wondering?

Here's the break-down of my creative process:

1. stamp the images (like you normally would). In this case, I stamped the rose and leaves.
2. plan out your placement of sentiment and spacing of the dies, line up the dies with a ruler (if necessary) . Use Washi tape to secure them.
3. die cut and punch out the image (don't freak out here!!). Die cut some more with white card stock/scrap pieces.
4. stack and adhere 3-4 pieces and position the dies back to where they were.
5. embellish.

Do you like the "hidden" letters?

It's simple yet impactful.
Hope this gives you some inspiration and that you find it helpful.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge #439

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge !! Thank you for joining us for the "CAS" Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)

This week the challenge is...

"Pop It Up"

We are using "Lawn Fawn" products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some, we love to see them used :-)

For my project, I am using Fab Flowers Clear Stamp, Little Town Border Lawn Cut, Happy Birthday Border Lawn Cut, Everyday Pop-Up, and Gingham Backdrops Clear Stamp.

Obviously, to pop-up is made easy when using the Everyday Pop Up Die. There is nothing quite  like it. I inked up the houses with Distress Oxide.

I built up the height of the pop ups and then positioned the "hills" over it.

happy birthday to you

This pop-up card was entirely stamped. You can totally use pattern paper such as Perfectly Plaid.
And of course, I have to stamp the card front with Fab Flowers.

The details were added with some DMC Strings, a touch of Nuvo Drop (Carribean Gloss) and Pico Embellisher (White).

I hope that you are inspired to create something that POPS!

All the supplies I used are shown in the product photos and highlighted in text like this for your easy reference.

Mix It Up

Hello friends!
Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm and checking out my blog.
Today I have a fun and romantic card with assorted stamps and dies.

I started out with a piece of white card stock. The background images first dry-embossed with this gorgeous "Embossing Textured Plate" (currently out of stock). The textures are so fine that you can continue to do your stamping...and that's exactly what I did.
you got this-001

I don't think we stampers use enough geometric stamps as we tend to reach for something floral and something visually appealing. Geometric shapes can be hard to think?

Well, I challenge myself to use this new stamp set "Building Blocks"  by Altenew.
shop Altenew here, shop Simon Says Stamp here

The geometric background may look random, but they really are not.
My light bulb moment

Ding---> Create an "invisible frame" with masking paper/post-it note and stamp inside the borders. This is a good way to control the "chaotic" element. This will draw our eyes to the focal point (in my view).

Once I stamped the background, I stamped the small flowers and leaves. Then I stamped the sentiment with lightest grey to the darkest in Rock Collection(shop Altenew here, shop SSS here). By the way, GREY is in, if you don't own any good grey inks... Rock Collection is it!

you got this

And of course, it really doesn't hurt to add the Layering Flowers Dies such as Floral Fantasy
(shop Altenew here, shop SSS here) .

Lastly, I want to highlight this STAMPtember "You Got This" from Simon Says Stamp.
It has so many wonderful and uplifting message and is perfect for encouragement cards.

All the supplies I used are shown in the product photos and highlighted in text like this for your easy reference and shopping (affiliate links are applied whenever possible).
