Are you loving the April release? Many of you mentioned that you adore the Happy Heart Stamp & Die Bundle(currently on sale!!). Like you, I am a huge fan of this set, too! The delicate hand-drawn details are absolutely amazing. You can apply this stamp set with any types of coloring medium! This time I am sharing how I used it with the patterned paper from Reflection Scrapbook Collection. Please know that you can also get just the scrapbook paper here (without the kit).

Altenew_HappyHeart_Stamp/Die_Virignia #2

This card was made easy as the patterned paper has so much to offer. I simply stamped the images on the patterned paper. This proves to be a quick ad easy way to create multiple flowers.

Altenew_HappyHeart_Stamp/Die_Virignia #1

The inks I used are Volcano Lake, Lagoon, Ruby Red, Persian Blue and Just Green.
With the matching dies, I can easily cut the stamped pieces with my Mini Blossom Die Cut Machine.

Altenew_HappyHeart_Stamp/Die_Virignia #3

I created a small panel with the Dotted Washi Tape  with the Cube Cover Die! Notice that I only use PART of the Cube Cover Die? In my view, this is another great way to stretch the cover dies! The Parchment Cardstock is perfect for pulling all type of mixed elements together.

Altenew-Happy Heart- Die
I love using splatter to add interest to my design. The tiny droplets from Pure White Ink Spray give this card some needed oomph!

Would you know that I actually use the scraps after cutting out some large floral images from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection !? I cut out the images to decorate our Altenew booth during the ScrapFest last week. See the THREE large floral images? I used the leftover EDGES for today's project.

Yeah, this is the best part about paper-crafting! We CAN reduce, reuse and recycle!
I hope that you love this idea and get inspired to use your scraps with stamps and dies!

Please kindly leave me a comment over Altenew Blog and/or here in my post.

Spellbinders April Blog Hop

Hello friends!

I am delighted to be part of the Spellbinders Blog Hop today!
I hope that you get inspired by the participating guests as the shared projects are die-namite!

If you arrive from the blog of Susie Lessard, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration!

I have two projects to share with you with the Spellbinders dies from the following collection:
Sharon Sowell Collection:
This die is pretty much one of my favorite silhouette dies...ever. I decided to use alcohol inks to create a colorful image and background.

There are two layering parts in this design: vellum paper and Yupo paper.
All products used are linked below (affiliate links applied at no cost to you).

I also stamped the same colors with Sewn With Love (Altenew). At the end, I decide to add tiny bits of sequins to the bottom as  the images appeared to be magical to me!

Hope you get fancy and free feeling!

My 2nd card features this lovely die. I thought it is perfect for celebrating a new baby or a son's birthday....

There are a few techniques involved in this card, namely, Emboss Resist and Inlaid Die-cutting.

The rainbow colors depict a lively and happy scene: a growing boy and a dog.
What could be more perfect!? Noticed the white-embossing with Script (Penny Black)?

I encourage you to try out these awesome silhouette images if you have not have any dies like these.

Previously, I also shared my take with this die from the same collection.

As you may know, I have been super busy with the ScrapFest that took place in Kitchener, Ontario from April 13-14.  Before this event, I prepared for the workshop and spent two days there and am still recovering.... :)

Despite the crazy ice storm we had, I consider it a success! 😊

Altenew April 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello friends!
WARNING: photo-heavy post
It's that exciting time of the month...Altenew has a new stamp/die release!
If you stop by from the blog of Debby Hughes, you are in the right place.
If not, come right in and join the hop for ideas and inspiration.
For the BEAUTIFUL ideas and inspiration, please visit
Altenew Card Blog and Altenew Scrapbook Blog.

My first card features Happy Heart Stamp/Die Bundle
Happy Heart Stamp & Die Bundle
and Gradient Stripe Die Set.

I decided to create a gold background with the new Antique Gold Spray with Bristol paper.
Once dry, I made the die cut with Gradient Stripe Die Set.

I popped one of the die cut pieces up with the sentiment.

The fine-lines and details of the Happy Heart Stamp Set makes you really feel like an artist!
The best thing about this stamp set is that the images are beautiful with the hand-drawn details. You can use any types of color medium. They look amazing no matter how you use them.

In this card, I sponged the Altenew ink very lightly and they are GORGEOUS, as you can see!

My next card also uses Gradient Stripe Die, except this time I flipped it upside down.
The panel was done with ink-blending with a splash of water droplets.
Folksy Florals Stamp Set

I then stamped Folksy Floral Stamp in various colors.

I love how the folksy images peeking through the panel.

In My Thoughts Stamp & Die Bundle

from: ALTENEW
My 3rd card features In My Thoughts Stamp and Die Bundle.

The tree may look hard to stamp, but it really is not!  It comes in 3-step stamping and is super easy to line up. This is a MUST-HAVE if you love tree images!

To make the image pop, I stamped a subtle blue background with the text (that comes with the stamp set "In My Thoughts"). This gives interest and depth certainly CONVEYS the thoughts even
more aptly.
To ground the tree, I added the Watercolor Washi Tape
It provides pops of color and subtle dimensions, too!

I love the splatter from Altenew Ink Sprays. I had to use a couple spray bottle to complete the design. I hope that you love seeing how I used these stamps.
👉I would love to know which card/stamp set "speaks" to you.
👉 Don't forget to leave me a comment!

Virginia's Stencil Sunday #5

Hello friends!
Today is my 5th installment of Stencil Sunday!
I am happy to share a simple stenciled card from Poppy Bloom Stencil
Poppy Bloom Stencil
Poppy Bloom Stencil
thank you-001

This stencil is super easy to work with as the composition of the poppy pretty much covers the entire card front. I decided to add extra text from the sentiment in this stamp set.

thank you (3)

After applying ink over the stencil, I simply left the stencil on paper.  I then stamped the sentiment over each section with the same color of the petals and leaves.
thank you (2)

For the final finishes, I popped up the sentiment and added some silver strings underneath.
The text and sentiment are from Build-a-Flower Hibiscus set (see links below).

thank you-004

This has been a super busy weekend for me as I spent two fulls days in our largest Crafting event in my area. I taught a workshop and met a lot of people....My heart is full and happy.
I definitely can use some down time.
